SunShare Secures $11M For Community Solar in Minnesota
SunShare has secured $11 million in project financing from ANB Bank. The funds will be used for the construction of 8.2 MW community garden in Minnesota. SaintSun (6.9 MW) and ZumbroSun (1.3 MW) projects already have begun on construction and are expected to be completed in October.
“With the support of partners like ANB Bank, we’ll be able to continue to execute on our pipeline of community solar projects and expand the power of clean energy choice to even more communities across the country.” says David Amster-Olszewski, SunShare’s founder and CEO.
Both ZumbroSun and SaintSun projects are being built by Conti Solar and will consist of 6 gardens and will serve about 1,200 homes in the Carver, Wabasha and nearby counties.
Subscribers will receive energy credits on their electricity bills once the interconnection process is completed which is expected to be in late 2018 or early 2019.
