Introducing Our Core Values - Transparent

Last month we introduced you to the five core values that define what we believe and how we behave as people and as a company: Friendly, Environmental, Transparent, Results-Driven, and Inquisitive.

Today, we want to share more about our commitment to transparency.

Transparent: Act with transparency for the good of our subscribers, our people, our communities, and our company.

When you look up the definition of transparent, you’ll see it means clear, allowing light to pass through – the perfect goal for a company that uses the power of the sun to provide clean, renewable energy solutions!

Every day our team looks for ways to improve transparency in all of our interactions – with our subscribers, our landowners, our energy providers, and our partners. We are consistently evolving, and always looking for ways to better ourselves and our communications, to increase transparency. Here are a few of the things we’re working on for our subscribers:

1. Working hard to be clear and accurate. Being transparent is most critical when it comes to subscribers joining SunShare. We’re constantly striving to provide subscribers with the resources they need to understand our contracts before they join. As a first step to living this Core Value, we took the Fresh Energy Consumer-Friendly Community Solar Pledge in Minnesota. SunShare is a certified “Good Neighbor” – a community solar business that addresses basic subscriber needs, including transparency and accountability
2. Communicating with you. We strive to engage in conversation with the communities we serve by attending events, volunteering, and being socially active on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. We’re also building out more support resources including bi-monthly newsletters, so that subscribers can get more timely answers to their questions about SunShare Community Solar.
3. Sharing more of our knowledge. Our website is filled with information and insight that empowers people to make smart and simple decisions about their energy. Our Live Green section is filled with information and resources to help you live a more sustainable lifestyle. You can use our handy calculator to see how much you can save by getting solar credits every month.
